“If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.”

  1. Bryan Helmig says:

A Black President. Not to diminish his accomplishment, but it’s the sad shape of our country that got Barack elected. I do believe if our economy was better, if things in Iraq were better, the race would have been between Clinton and McCain and McCain would have won. Obama won because when adversity strikes people have a way of forgetting hatred and prejudice and do the right thing. Remember how crime dropped and people were generally nicer after 9-11? God Bless America!
